Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our recruitment services, including but not limited to browsing our website, applying for jobs, and engaging with us as either a candidate or client. By accessing our services or website, you agree to comply with these terms.

GoodFolk Consultants Ltd operates as a recruitment agency specialising in the placement of candidates in consumer brand sectors. We act as an intermediary between candidates seeking employment and businesses looking to hire.

2. Our Services

GoodFolk provides recruitment services, including but not limited to:

  • Job application and placement assistance

  • Recruitment consultancy and advice

  • Temporary and permanent placements with consumer brand clients

We make no guarantees about the availability of specific positions or the success of an application.

3. Candidates

By registering with GoodFolk or submitting an application, you agree to the following:

  • You are providing true and accurate information about yourself.

  • You consent to us processing your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

  • You will notify us of any changes to your personal information, including contact details and employment history.

  • You will inform us if you have been offered or accepted a position outside of GoodFolk’s recruitment process for any vacancy we have discussed.

We will do our best to match your skills and experience with suitable job vacancies. However, we do not guarantee that we will secure employment for you.

4. Clients

As a client engaging GoodFolk’s services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete job specifications for any vacancies.

  • Provide us with any necessary information regarding your company policies, including health and safety, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Notify GoodFolk immediately of any changes to the employment offer, salary, or conditions that were initially agreed upon.

Fees for recruitment services will be discussed separately and formalised in our Recruitment Services Agreement.

5. Fees and Payment

Our fees are determined based on the services provided and are agreed upon in a separate contract between GoodFolk and the client. Fees are typically calculated as a percentage of the candidate’s first-year salary or at a fixed rate for temporary placements. Payment is due within 30 days of the date of invoice unless otherwise agreed.

Failure to pay within the agreed timeframe may result in interest charges and suspension of services.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep any information disclosed during the recruitment process confidential, including but not limited to candidate details, salary information, and business operations. Information will only be shared with relevant third parties (such as potential employers) as needed for the recruitment process and with the candidate's consent.

7. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

GoodFolk is committed to protecting your personal data in line with GDPR regulations. For more information on how we process, store, and use your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

GoodFolk does not accept liability for:

  • Any loss, damage, or expense caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the candidate or client.

  • Any loss or damage resulting from a candidate’s performance once placed in a client’s employment.

  • Any financial losses suffered by either party due to recruitment processes that do not result in employment.

Our liability for any breach of these Terms and Conditions is limited to the total fee paid by the client for the specific recruitment services provided.

9. Termination

GoodFolk reserves the right to terminate its relationship with any candidate or client at any time, particularly if these Terms and Conditions are breached. Clients may terminate our services by providing [X] days’ written notice unless otherwise agreed upon in the Recruitment Services Agreement

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

GoodFolk reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately unless otherwise stated.
